Default 99 EM1 - Another passenger side floor water leak thread

I have a 99 Civic Si that sat for 4 years and it seems like everything that could go wrong is going wrong. I mentioned in another thread that my AC wasn't working, so I cut the AC belt off and plan on re-doing the entire system in the spring. Today I took my car to the car wash and afterwards I happened to notice a few water droplets on my passenger side carpet. It was nothing major at all. I felt it with my fingers and smelled it. It was just dirty water.

At first I thought it might be leaking by the rubber grommet where various wires have recently been pushed through, but that's behind the carpet and was dry. I felt around underneath the glove box, but couldn't feel any moisture there, either. After reading through several threads, it could be the windshield cowl plugs, but I don't know if that problem is only related to Integras. Every thread I find is old and the pictures are no longer working. Another possibility is the drain plug on the AC evaporator core, but as I mentioned, the AC is disconnected and I haven't used it at all. I don't even know if that would drip with no AC usage. I also want to mention that I cranked up the fan while going through the car wash. I'm not sure if this is significant.

If any of this sounds like what you've experienced, please let me know. Thanks.

Windshield cowl plugs? Are you talking about those plastic clips that hold the plastic cover over the wipers? If so, probably not.

It probably came through the door seal.

I don't know what they're called. You can see them in this thread:

It's not the door seal, because the water drops are underneath the glove box.

Ac box vent tube. Even though you don't have ac the fan opening outside of the car still takes in air, and some water. So make sure it is connected

I've decided to take it to Honda. They told me it would cost about $95 just for them to find the leak, lol.

just remove the glove box and have a buddy just spray a hose on your car while you're inside looking for leaks with a flashlight.

You're about to pay honda $150 to do that

I thought about doing that, but then I remembered that I ended up in the emergency room with a herniated disk in my neck from doing similar contortions underneath my dash back in May. After 2 spinal epidural injections and being stuck on the couch popping oxys for a couple of months, then doing the physical therapy thing, I'm prepared to be gouged. Besides, I'm going to get them to replace my seat belt retractors under warranty on a 17 year old car, so it balances out.

It turned out to be the seam at the top of the passenger side windshield. They resealed it. I should have asked them to check for rust.
