99 ek/h22 swap help

I recently bought a 99cx with a complete change over h22 swap from hmotors. Stage 2 axles, LSD. It has a walbro 255 and when it's not warmed up, the car dies at stop lights. Is this a fuel pressure regulator issue? Do I need bigger fuel rails? Also, I'm not sure if it's the tranny or the clutch (act 6 puck) but I hear a grinding noise coming out of first gear. Doesn't do it if the clutch is feathered... doesn't want to go into 5th gear very well, synchros maybe? Any help is very much appreciated, as you can tell I'm new to this. Thanks

What ECU are you running? It may have the completely wrong parameters for the H22, also make sure the 3 wire to 2 wire IACV was done correctly...

I'm pretty sure it's running on the civic ecu. The guy said it's only throwing the cel because it's still obd1. I have no clue. What do you mean by parameters? I'll check the wiring on the iacv. Thanks

Re: 99 ek/h22 swap help

If its using your stock civic ECU, then there's your problem. It is not nearly enough fuel, the idle specs are completely different and you will have the CEL also because of the ECU wanting to 'see' the 3 wire IACV. Your best bet would be to use a jumper harness to obd1 and a chipped ecu with an H22 basemap. You will need to fix the IACV issue either way..
