Default 99 DX Water Pump Question

im doin the timing belt n water pump on my girls 99 DX and the instructions that came with the pump say to put sealer on either side of the gasket for the water pump. i guess that means some RTV sealer like permatex or sumthin but isnt that goin to be too much like it'll push out when the 2 surfaces meet. n then i'd have to wait however long to let it cure before running any coolant thru it, right?

Just put a thing layer of ultra grey permatex on it. Yes you have to let it sit and cure before you run it.

no need for it. The o-ring on the pump is more than sufficient.

Tuned is right but I always apply a little ultra grey anyway.
