99 dx motor into 92 civic SI
What changes do i need to do? It's going on my 92 civic hatch SI. Building my motor need something to get to work. Stock ecu? Dizzy? Mani? Can i just use my stock mani for now and the wire harness?

stock 92 ECU. Use the 97 distributor...rewire if needed.
Use the 92 injectors. Use the 92 harness.
Use the 92 manifold and IAC and TB.
Use the 92 header.

what about a y8 in a 95 civic dx coupe... i used stock dx ecu, intake manifold, fuel,exhaust manifold, diz, wires.... but its a y8 so it has vtec, its just not being used because there no where to hook up. how can i hook up vtec? maybe a z6 harness and ecu?

for a Y8 in a DX, you will need to run the VTEC wires all the way into the passenger compartment. So a Z6 engine harness is a waste of time. You'll need to make your own sub harness.
BTW, OP, I forgot to mention that you will have a CEL for VTEC since your P28 will be looking for it and the y7 does not have it.
For the guy who said something about using the OBD1 distributor: nah. You can rewire the OBD2 one. Some of the Y7 distributors plug right into the OBD1 plugs. The 96-00 used a few different distributor harnesses all ***** nilly.
