96+ EX and Si clusters are plug and play.

or you could go with a crv cluster, or a ctr, sir cluster. All are plug and play

That CRV cluster looks nice. Not to thread jack, but can you match miles on these clusters?

its a game of luck. if youre going to use a different cluster, chances are, the mileage will be off. by a lot. if you ever take ANYWHERE for maintenance of any type, be sure to swap the cluster back. if you dont, odometer rollback will be forever engraved on your cars' title.

on DX and EX clusters, you can swap out the speedo/odo portion from your old cluster, into the new one, so the miles will be the same as well as the color (blue) of the numbers.

You can do that on Si and CRV clusters too, but if you have a dx/ex cluster, the numbers will be a different color. Si/CRV cluster have amber numbers.

You can roll back, or roll forward the mileage on any cluster. I know there's a thread on here somewhere on how to do that.

It's the same thing, only the CRV cluster is an Amberish color. If you like that over the EX blue, which lights up white, then it may be worth it to you.

I would have to say the EX cluster, only because it may be difficult to locate a 5spd CRV cluster....(notice on the pic above it has that whole P>R>N>D thing goin on...not pretty )

EDIT: and the EX cluster's tach. goes to 9K rpm as opposed to the 8K above & now below too .....

i am in the same position you are in, but i think i found a good alternative to not having a humungous tach sitting there looking all funny....

its only 2 3/4" big, and its $65 on Summit Racing's website.

yes/no/maybe?

not to bash that idea or anything because i would get one but it only goes upto 8k. same with the CRV cluster...who here actually only revs to 8K on a "built" D or stock B?

you need some of that in your life

Just for the record. That's not my CRV cluster I posted a pic of. I did a quick search for CRV cluster, and that's the first pic I found.

i only rev till about 8000-8500, and i have a gsr with skunk2 stage 2's, full valvetraing and supporting mods. i just don't see the point in taking my car to 10k when it's not making power up there. but i do agree that a tach that goes up to 9 or 10k is nice.
