99 civic suspension into a 94 hb?
This may be a stupid question, and if so I am sorry. Plus I am on my brother's account so it doesn't matter.
I recently met a guy that is selling his coilover suspension setup for a good price from a 99 honda civic, while I own a 94 civic hatchback. will this suspesion fit which I doubt it will. Or is there a conversion that could make this work?

It can fit however , you will need washers for the rear because the LCA on the 96+ is skinnier than the 92-95. Also, the mounting points for the brake lines are different.
I've tried it and it wasn't fun. I don't recommend it.

A question for you, were you doing this with a rear upgrade to disk brakes, or were they the stock drums? Is it only the rear that has this problem? and Where did you mount the cables?

Well actually we were taking the suspension from my 95 hatch and installing them on my friend's 98 coupe. We both had stock rear drums.
The front fit perfectly and I may be mistaken about the brake lines. I did suspension on 3 different cars that week and may have confused them. I'll let someone else verify that.
I do know for a fact that the rear LCAs have a different thickness though.

So if I am instaling 99 koni's onto a 92-95 is should be easier since the LCA is thinner, but still may have problems with the lines. Am I in the ballpark with this, or am I still lost?

Actually, the LCA on the 99 should be thinner so I don't even know if the shock will fit over the LCA.
I was thinking the other way around. You could get the one's off your hatch to fit on his 99 but probably can't get the 99's to fit on your hatch.
Have I confused you sufficiently? If so, IM me and I'll try and sort my thoughts out.

the fronts off a ek will fit an eg fine. however, the lower rear lca mounts on a eg are thicker. i just used a bench grinder and took off 1/8" on each side of my lca mount to fit ek shocks on my eg
