Thanks in advance for any help

I have searched for months before posting. I have a 99 civic si turboed with a quaife and a hondata s300.The problem all started when I installed my innovative polyurethane motor mounts. The best way to describe the sound is that it sounds like the front tires are rubbing the inner fenders when the engine is under loadbut it is really loud and shakes the whole car.
I pulled the trans, replaced the bearing at the end of the main shaft and the clutch. This did not fix the problem. I jacked up the car and had a friend step on the brake and slowly let off the clutch. The engine started violently shaking. It made a sound like metal hitting metal but nothing was making contact and sound was coming from inside the transmission. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I've just encounted this and was about to post. Just the other day, the tranny started the make a "chain-dragging-on-tarmac" sound.

Its comes on and off but it is especially constant when im going downslope in 1st/2nd gear ( without accelerating ) or when I'm engine breaking. It also comes back when im clutch-biting in 1st and reverse... and goes off when clutch engaged, only to come back when I'm again engine breaking.

It sound like metal dragging on road... I checked underneath and nothing... seams very much like a gearbox issue.


Any advice before I take it to the mech?
