Default 99 Civic Si issue

I noticed the other day driving my gf's 99 civic SI stock everything B16 engine and trans. While driving intermittently the temp guage and speedo were fluctuating bouncing up and the down has anyone ever seen this. If so what is the problem I made sure the grounds were clean good etc. No idea what it is any help would be great thanks Happy new year to everyone.

I would check the battery terminals. The negative side mainly.

The battery itself might be bad, that was my issue with the same problem in my EM1
