HELP! I NEED 99 civic power window wiring without floor harness but i have door harness
i need help if any one knows how to wire the door harness on a 99 00 civic without floor harness.
i just need how to wire the power window switches, but if someone has how to do the power doors than cool.
ive searched and all ive found is how to wire it by using the floor harnesses, but i dont have the cash to buy just those harness. i dont think it should be that hard to just wire the window to go up and down.
WHAT WIRES ARE WHAT? WHICH WIRES POWER IT UP WHICH WIRES POWER IT DOWN?

theres 2 ways of doing it. if you want to be able to controll the passengers side window from the drivers side, or not.
if you want to then you just need to get power to the blue/black wire on the drivers side and then run the blue/yellow, and blue/green wires to the passengers door. hook the passengers green/black to power. and ground the black wires.
if you dont care then you just need to get power to the blue/black on the drivers side, and the green/black on the passengers side. also on the passengers side ground the blue/yellow and blue/orange on the passengers side.
any power wire should be fused with a 20amp fuse to keep things safe.
there you go.

Good info! I was wondering about this also. I have a 1992 Si hatch and some complete 1995 EX coupe door panels (have both door harness's also), will this diagram be the same for my situation? Anyone know?

the drivers side door worked... but i couldnt get the passengers side to work... im not sure if the ground wire was right... i only had a blue/yellow but i tried that as a ground and it still didnt work...
the only wires i had commin from the passangers side switch was...
green/black blue/orange blue/white blue/yellow and a blue/brown(or it could be red and not brown)
all the wires that connect at the end of the harness are...
yellow/red white/red green/white green/black yellow/black brown/black blue/yellow blue/orange and yellow orange

where can i splice the blue/black wire from the drivers side to power to make it clean? cause i really just got the wire wedged in with the radio fuse hahaha...
but yeah it was pretty easy... i should have took pictures... ill take them as soon as we figure out the passengers side..
you think you know how to hook up the power locks with the stock door harness and some "ghetto riging" wiring..?
how about the mirrors...
and the tweaters too...?

the locks are a bit trickier because honda wasnt kind enough to supply the internal schematics of the lock box. Even if you arent using the floor harness you should use the honda lock box. If you use the honda lock box I can get you wired up from there. Mirrors are also easy.
For the mirrors you basically just take the yellow/red wire from the mirror switch and hook it to the yellow/red wires for both mirrors, blue/white and blue/black from the switch go to the drivers mirror, and green/white and yellow/blue from the switch go to the passenger mirror. heres the schematic so you can see.
for the locks It would depend on if youre using a 99-00 or 96-98 lock box. they arent that different however the 99-00 is automatically set up for keyless entry so it has extra wires.

got the passangers side to work too... but i was wondering how to get the drivers side to control the passangers side?
i didnt have a blue/green on the drivers side switches... i only had blue/yellow
what wire do i connect on the drivers side switch? and do i connect it to the (power wire) green/black on the passangers side? or the ground wires? or another wire...?

at this point you should have 2 wires on the drivers side switch that arent hooked up to anything right? I could give you the exact colors but i dont feel like pulling my door panel off heh. anyways those 2 wires you need to run to the passenger side door and hook them to the 2 wires that you grounded (blue/yellow & blue/orange) then just test it. if the switch works in reverse just switch the 2 wires and its fixed.
