99 Civic JDM Headlights
I am planing on getting new headlights. I want JDM Type R headlights but I don't want to pay $455 for real JDM headlights but I want the look to be close. Do you think these look close to real JDM headlights?

Re: 99 Civic JDM Headlights (JDM CTR '00)
why not just do it yourself?
instead of paying for it go and buy some spray paint stuff costs like 5-10$ to do it. and thers 100 how-to's on this.

Where in Fairfax county are you? How far is it from Arlington? I was looking for someone who would do it for me.

thats pathetic.
Bake Spray Seal.
Not too hard. Either way you have to remove the front bumper to put the new ones in.

Re: 99 Civic JDM Headlights (dawrenn)
I dont drive a civic...but id assume if you want your custom headlights to look like JDM OEM CTR headlights: Bake them and open them up, get a dark silver/light gunmetal spraypaint, AND MAKE SURE TO SAND THE STOCK ORANGE REFLECTOR AND PAINT IT ALSO!!! The JDM headlight does not have this reflector, so spray right over it. If you do the lights like this they will be as close to CTR headlights as possible.

Get the real one or don't get them at all. Everyone is saying that you can crack them up and spray paint it etc.. but unless you are patience, can work fast and good with your hand, good luck trying to crack those sucker open and resealing.
