It depends how mechanically inclined you are if the harness he has is the one it needs and everything is perfect it shouldn't be to hard. But I wouldn't really believe the guy, he has time to try a friends harness but not put the one he has on?

Well I'm pretty inclined just never messed with the wiring to much...I know some its easier to do with motor out...I mean I'm only giving 2300 for it...and car is really nice just that, he doesn't know how to do the harness, was his friend who did it, meh

I'm a bit confused. It's not like another harness will just plug and play on the B18C even if it is OBD2b. So what extra harness does he have? Is it from a 99-00 Si/EX? Even then the distributor won't plug and play. Sounds pretty sketch considering you can't even hear the car run. I'd talk him down even more but expect the worst either way.

Incorrect if the harness is from a 99-00 Si it will plug into the dizzy, all OBD2 dizzy plugs are the same. The GSR intake mani dual runner sensors wont be on the Si harness though. and there are a 1-2 other things that will need small changes on the Si harness.

For the most part an OBD2 B18C1 motor and ODB2 99-00 Civic harness should be pretty plug and play. You would have to wire in the IAB for the manifold and maybe change a connector or 2. It should have the correct ECU(P72 OBD2a Integra GSR) and jumper harness if its needed.

You didn't state what year the motor was or what ECU it's using.

No they aren't '99 - '00 Y7/Y8 distributors use a single small plug. The Si uses a large plug like OBD2A or an Integra though (the HX is also a large plug, but it's because even the '99 - '00 models are OBD2A)

well i dont know year of motor yet, i assume it is in fact 96-01 model of obd2, i really want car but would cost me about 300 to trailor it and just fix it here, and i like my chances more if he just had his friend put harness on and i heard it run good and drove it, he said it ran perfect untill the harness starting glitching, im hoping he got right harness so then it is plus and play, otherwise im gonna tell him im gonna pass, i mean tags are still in date, i told him id give him 100 more to just put harness in so i could just drive it back but waiting on reply, if its still a no im gonna take it as something else is wrong that he's not saying

Pics need to be hosted online and then you just copy the link and use the [ img ](< no spaces)http://www.internet.com/picture.jpg[/img] tag around it.
