Default 99 civic hatch b18 swap ond2b to obd2a jumper engine has a miss

Been running my swap flawless for the last 7 months just recently it has slight missing sound not a full miss but it's faint and constant if I rev and hold at 3k I'll get the odd loud pop and it won't sit steady at 3k it will go 2800 3k 2800 3k back and fourth
Things I've tried
Changed the dizzy internals
Cap rotor coil
Tried a complete known working b18 dizzy with known working plug wires
Changed fuel pump spark plugs
Injectors tried other map sensors
Checked pcv valve
Checked my throttle butterfly valve everything seems clear
Cleaned iacv
Checked my plugs hoses and grounds
Physical timing seems smack on
Compression is good right across all matching
I was told to do compression with just 3 turns of the motor
Plugs were left in
Across all four comp was 120 dry 125 wet
When I held the key for 3 seconds straight comp was 210 across all four
I'm basically stumped on this rough missing sounding idle need you honda pros to help me out

Things I should note
B18b1 95 teg swap
98 b18b1 intake mani
Header high flow cat 2.5 inch pipe back
Obd2b to obd2a jumper running the 98 teg ecu
Since the block doesn't have a knock sensor I did the knock sensor bypass
I have no codes
I've also done a obd scan idle stays relatively stable at 760 car warms up to operating temp fans kick on everything seems good except this missing sound
Car pulls hard still haven't noticed a loss of power
I get a pop between shifts sometimes 3 or 4 pops between shifts
A slight pop if I'm in gear decelerating and I just slightly press the gas
Not burning oil or water no smoke whatsoever

I don't get it, is compression 120/125 on all 4, or 210 on all 4?

120 on all 4 dry 125 wet on all four with just 3 rotations of the motor
210 on all four when I hold the key for 3 seconds straight multiple rotations during the 3 seconds
All compression tests were done with the other plugs still in the motor dizzy unhooked and gas held to the floor

If this is all you did than you basically pump the cylinders with gas. Moving on did you diagnose your distributor?

I'm not sure how to diagnose a distributor but I borrowed a known working one from my uncles teg and there was no change
I also changed the coil pack of my distributor

Distributors don't have coil packs. If reading the faq to properly diagnose the distributor and ohm checking spark plug wires are too difficult than the only thing that comes to mind is bad gas.

Had an issue back then when I dropped in a replacement motor. Car was backfiring like a motha ******.

I was reading a diagram as to how to ohm check
I will look into it when it stops raining
I thought of bad gas however this is the second tank I've ran through it and on this fillup I put the 91 octane I usually use 87
I will be filling up again tomorow in hopes that the problem goes away
I also put Lucas injector cleaner in on the last tank

It was almost like fine sand
The brown gas I'm guessing is from the old filter paper inside ? And buildup of dirt my 96 civic had the same thing when I changed that filter but it didn't cause it to backfire on deceleration or during idle
Since my fuel filter change its popping constantly not like a full miss more like a faint quarter miss

If dirt was also coming out of the gas than it could be time to drain your gas tank and see whats in there. Could be foul play.

im starting to lean towards ignition timing perhaps a bad fpr or even a small vacumn leak ? exhaust leak ?
I just went and filled up from empty gas light was on so there wasn't much fuel in there
so its running a full tank of fresh gas
this will be the third tank since it started running strange
lots of popping from the exhaust when I let off the gas in gear
slight minor pop when I tap the gas while rolling in gear
and constant popping while idle
recap on whats been replaced
injectors \ dizzy internals \ tried another known good dizzy with wires \ tried another set of plugs \ new fuel filter \ changed the fuel pump \ air filter is about 4 months old
checked cam gear and crank position timing seem to be dead on \ cleaned iacv \ checked firing order \ checked injector plug order \ tried a new map sensor \ new cap and rotor

im not throwing any CEL's
on my scanner the o2 sensors seem to be functioning and the TPS seems to be within spec
ultimately this has to be a simple obvious issue others have had and might have some more pointers or solutions as to what it might be
I don't have a timing light at the moment but im working on getting one
im located in Surrey B.C if theres anyone local with a timing light that would \ could help me out

I wouldn't classify it as dirt so much it was more like remnants of fibers ? from the fuel filter needles to say it was darker in colour when I bang it on the ground
the fuel filter was most likely original in the car considering the last owner didn't seem t much into maintanence

Bought a timing light today My ignition timing was pretty out of spec set it to the red mark car seems to pull a little better less popping during shifting
But there's still a popping during idle and the exhaust smells like it's running rich
Could running rich cause popping ?
If so is there anything I can check for this ?
I also changed my fpr just for assurance

Checked tps sensor it's at stock setting hasn't been adjust closed throttle is at 0.53 volts I can't see why that would or could cause a popping and or backfire at idle I guess the next thing to consider is an o2 ? But still no cel and the obd reader shows the primary o2 voltages changing constantly

Since the cam gears line up perfect my last thing to assume is the crank skipped 1 tooth
I have to recheck the physical timing any quick tips on this better then using the screwdriver in the cylinder method?
Can I line up a mark on the crank pulley kind of like setting ignition timing ? Then with that lined up check the cams ?

Yes there is a mark on on the crank that you can line up. Also get your fpr gauge on there to see how much is at ignition on and at idle.
