Re: B18C into EK9 help
You could have a problem elsewhere . You says it cranks right? What do you mean, "its not giving enough juice to start the car"? Check and make sure you are getting fuel and spark. Also make sure you did not cross the connectors for the map sensor and iacv because it is a common mistake.

its way to much work to take it out and what if you doesn't fit correctly? 96-98 climate control and 99-00 climate control are different too so im kinda iffy about doing that..im just waiting on a sunny day to i can just open up the engine harness and reattach the wiring but not sure if thats a good idea or not either. thats why im asking

Re: B18C into EK9 help
im missing wires from under the dash harness not the motor harness..ek hatchies have 2 harness that connects to 1. the engine harness 2. to the ecu but then again the b16 harness has 4 connector 1. 3 harness connects to the ecu 2. connects to the green (under dash harness). i know its a wiring problem NOT the motor..just need some help

Re: B18C into EK9 help
I didn't see that you said the other car was 99-00 civic till now. But like you said the cabin harness is probably different being that is obd2b and the different climate control setup. I would make sure you are getting fuel and spark and all your connections are correct first.
What year is the car the gsr motor going into?

Re: B18C into EK9 help
i'm confused. what year is your hatchback? if it's a 96-98, use a 96-98 harness and modify whatever you need to. an ex harness will make it a lot easier, but your stock non-vtec will work also.
