Re: 99 civic ex suspension help (civicnooobie)
i did my suspension on my 96 civic dx.
converted the drums to discs using the 99 SI brakes, lowered on tein springs with brand new OEM shocks (that i got for free). with omni camber kits for the front and rear.
that link you have has lower control arms, great, but if you want to adjust camber youll only be able to adjust your front and not your back. (thats considering the omni lower arms are OEM length.
so unless youre planning on illegal street time attacks or taking your car to an actual track youll never see the full potential of coilovers. youll get some braggin rights though. for what you would pay 900 bucks on that link i did my setup including the rear brake conversion.

Re: 99 civic ex suspension help (4drhonda)
The Omni Coilovers are extremely stiff and uncomfortable ride if your lookin for an everyday driver suspension... Coilovers give you the luxury of performance over any regular spring on the market and ride height adjustability. But the Omni Coils are know to break also. i would want to recommend you stay away from them. If you want a comfortable and well performing ride, I would go with some Ground Control Coil Sleeves, and either a koni yellow or a tokico illumina shock set. they both handle well and and very comfortable every day drivers... and they are easy on the wallet... either setup will run you about 600-750.

they're okay. Just get the right year.
only 96-00 civic suspension will work. For about the same price, i think ground control coil sleeves and koni yellows are a good combo.
unless you buy some suspension that can adjust the spring rates. If you don't mind a hard suspension, those Omni Powers aren't bad... I'd drive them. Just make sure you're prepared for every bump on the road. and maybe a few scrapes here and there. good luck.

If your not lookin to spend the money on the konis i would just go with the tokico illuminas.
