99 civic ex intake manifold for auto transmission - need help identifying connectors
Hi, I bought a car recently and the previous owner had swap a new d16y8 engine in it, but the intake system is ment for a manual car. So I recently purchased an auto manifold and throttle body. My question is, I can re use the bolts, and field injectors? Or what can I re use or do I replace it all? Thanks in advance!
Edit: I was wondering if anyone knew about these plugs? One by the fuel rail and one by the map sensor? Thanks

the manuals have iacv on back of the manifold. autos have iacv on the TB.
you could have blocked off the ports on the back and kept using your manual intake manifold!!
more info as to what year your civic is and what engine harness your using would also help you get an accurate answer.
going off of what i know about your car and from past experiences see if this helps...... do not cut anymore wires and do not start switching plugs!
what color are the wires on the plug that you have plugged into the IAT sensor?
from what i see in the pictures.........
the 2 wires that are cut are for the IAT sensor. RED/YEL & GRN/BLK
the plug you have plugged into the IAT sensor in the picture, im pretty sure, NOT 100% SURE, that is for the egr canister on the firewall. what color are the wires on this plug?
the plug by the fuel rail. there should be a solenoid looking sensor under that black plastic covering the fuel rail. BLK/YEL & RED/YEL
auto uses a 3 wire iacv which is the greyish/greenish plug hanging behind the intake piping. ORG, YEL/BLK & BLK/BLU
manual iacv uses a 2 wire. BLK/BLU & YEL/BLK

What Scottie said haha those cut wires should have the connector for the IAT and the one you have plugged in is the EGR bypass. Is that a grey connector behind the intake tubing?

Yeah that's the iacv plug, the auto iacv is suppose to under the throttle body but it's the wrong intake manifold and throttle body

that's for the auto 3 wire iacv. it's on the back side of the throttle body.
i'm not bashing you... just don't start switching things and cutting stuff up yet... do you have any cel's? does your cel light up and go away when you turn the key to on? check for codes anyway.
1.
does the grey connector have 3 wires, the colors i mentioned above?
when you bought the car, did it come with a throttle body with the iacv sensor on it?
was the sensor plugged in to the iacv on the throttle body when you bought the car?
If all 3 are yes, plug it back in!
if 1 or more no's, explain what you find!
check for any "newer" looking electrical tape from where previous owner could have hacked any more wires.
2.
is the connector you have plugged into the IAT sensor part on the engine harness or part of the headlight harness?
3.
did you find the solenoid under the black cover over the fuel rail?
4.
you can reuse everything off the manual manifold except the manual iacv sensor and you need a throttle body with the iacv sensor on it

Yeah it does
when you bought the car, did it come with a throttle body with the iacv sensor on it?
No it didn't it came all like this
was the sensor plugged in to the iacv on the throttle body when you bought the car?

Just that split wire and the fuel rail one, and I can't find where to plug it into
2.
is the connector you have plugged into the IAT sensor part on the engine harness or part of the headlight harness?
I believe the headlight harness
3.
did you find the solenoid under the black cover over the fuel rail?

Whatever you do don't Turn the ignition on with that connector plugged into the IAT,it's possible it'll send 12V to it and fry it.

I just made the video, doesn't have sound but you can see how the wiring is and how bad it is. And I don't know what is where or anything

Re: 99 civic ex intake manifold for auto transmission - need help identifying connect
First pic, its one of the emissions sensors that usually sits on the fuel rail, second pic is indeed the iat sensor wires and you have something else running to it. I dunno what that is, could be for your auto tranny.
