99 Civic EX Drum Wont Fit Back on After Replacement
Hey everyone, I recently did a complete drum/shoe/cylinder replacement on my 1999 Civic EX and while it went smoothly enough but I noticed that I can't fit the drum back on the rear driver side. The cylinder is fine, there is no brake fluid in the lines but for some reason the brake still looks to be engaged for some reason. I've checked the e-brake, made sure the shoes are seated properly and centered and I have no idea what else could be causing them to be sticking out far enough to interfere with seating the drum.
Thanks for the help.
Thanks for the help.

You definetly need to close your star adjustment so you can put it back in. Used drum will for sure have a bigger diameter.

The star adjuster was/is completely closed when I put it back in. I also tried to see if the older drums would fit over it but the shoes seem to be slightly beyond there limit, like someones holding the brake down but it wasn't anything like this on the passenger side drums/shoes.
