99 Civic EX - Bad driver side engine motor mount? (pic included)

Hi everyone,

I have a 1999 Civic EX D16Y8 (133,000 miles). I am getting an occasional random vibration from the engine bay when accelerating. The vibration stops as soon as I take my foot off the gas. The vibration generally occurs at lower speeds (between 30-40 mph) and does not occur when I'm on the interstate at higher speeds. It's fine at idle too. I've included a pic of the driver side engine motor mount. It seems like there's not much spacing between the two black pieces of the upper and lower part of the mount. They're almost touching. Is this a sign my engine mount is wearing out or does it look ok? Could this be the cause? Thanks.

I don't see anything concerning with that mount.

Have you inspected the other mounts (trans, rear, and 2 torque mounts)?

Have you inspected the axles?

My 98 lx torque mount were torn. Replace with new one and now I get a little vibration. But I'm sure it's because of the new torque mount(driver)..
I would check that first.

I've looked at the trans and rear mount and I believe they're ok, although it's a little bit difficult to see all of it as the bracket is partially in the way. When you say torque mount what part are you referring to? Or where is it located? I'm not familiar with that part but will check it. Haven't checked the axles either but will look at that too. Thanks guys.

Torque mounts are on the front left and right sides of the engine:

Are any of your axle boots split or leaking?

if auto, have a helper sit in the car, foot on brake and shift thru gears. look for the engine moving , anything other than a small amount of movement when shifted is too much. if you grab onto it, can you move it at all?
