99 civic cd player into 95 civic ???? wiring
i just got an 99' SI cd player, my question is my stock harness has one big plug and 99 looks like 2 plugs.....how do i make this thing work

you could get the male harness from the 99si and splice it with an adapter harness for the 95 civic and create an adapter harness. i have done this with every stereo i haved owned so that i never have to cut my stock harness

Start by connecting the ground (usualy black) and the find your 3 other power wire. one is for always power (mine was orange) the other is when you start the car zand the other is for the light. For the speakers well usualy the + and - are the same color just one has a strip on it

Parts:
-Stock (MALE) harness that plugs into 99 si stereo
Can buy at junk yard or best buy but not circuit city
-Aftermarket (FEMALE) harness that plugs onto factory stereo harness and is
univesal
Can buy at best buy or circuit city
Intructions:
-Cut aftermarket (female) harness and match wires to (male) si harness.
takes about 15 minutes depending on skill and if you are soldering or
cuting and using eletrical tape.
-You only use the bigger one of the two plugs on the back of the si stereo.
The other is for a cd changer I think.
-After macthing the wires its just plug and play.
Dont forget you will need the security code or it wont work at all.
