99 civic Auto to Manual & D to B swap HELP!!
I have a 2000 Honda Civic that was automatic with a d16y7. I removed the single jingle, and started converting it to manual. A new b16a2 and and ls trans was swapped in and mounted up... The problem I've run into is after I mounted the integra shift linkage to the chassis of the car, the support bar that connects to the transmission hits the chassis were the automatic shifter was.. What should I do?
Anything helps thanks in advance! (Btw I've been reading forums for a long time but I'm new to posting) if this has been covered somewhere please direct me because I have no clue what I'm doing! -weedy

B series shift linkage consists of two bars, the shift link and the anchor bar that hold the linkage sturdy.. The anchor that bolts to the tranny from the shifter is hitting the chassis where the automatic shifter fed thru.. Am I confusing? I can post a pic..

Turns out you were right my friend, most guides were summarizing the shift linkage to just "assemble the shift linkage" BUT I kept reading more and more peoples posts and i found one with details about the windage tray. Apparently i need to grind off the windage tray and either leave it as an open gap, or weld a plate over it. Thanks for the help, but i do have another on topic question... I tried upoloading a picture of the windage tray and i couldnt fogure it out.. Any reccomendations?

chop that sumbitch out. welding isnt totally necessary there. you can make a plate from old scrap metal (license plate, whatever floats your boat), apply a bead of sealant around it, and use your choice of fasteners on it.
