who ever said that you can just change the brake pedal out with a 5spd on is wrong.i just spend the last hour and half trying to do this cause i told it work on a thread i read on here.so now i have to tear apart everything to get the pedals in.just thought i let you guys know.
maybe i just got the wrong year pedal set up idk.i thought all 5 spd pedals are the same on 92-up civic so please correct me if im wrong thanks.
also do i need to swap to a manual brake booster or can i still use the auto booster just fine?
thanks for all the help just let me know thanks

Re: 99 civic auto to 5spd
it does work, on an EG civic, should be the same with the ek
the clutch pedal has its own independant harness
the brake and gas pedal are on the same harness directly above the steering column
the brake pedal is held in by a pin that secures it to the master cylinder that is locked with a cotter pin
the brake pedal is then held in by ONE bolt at the top of the harness that is used as a pivot point
remove those two and the brake pedal comes out with some wiggling
and the 5spd brake pedal is mounted EXACTLY the same
