99 civic ac
The ac on my 99 civic is blowing no cold air. It has done this once before 2 years ago. The ac was charged and we've had no problems since then. The compressor does kick on when I start the car and hit the ac button. My wife drives the car normally, and I think she said it happend gradually(the cool air leaving). Someone said it may be that the expansion valve is stuck, in which case no cold air would come in. I know I should have it checked but some folks charge a rediculous amount just to check, so before I go spend money on a repair I just wondered if it might simply need a recharge. What do you think?

Re: 99 civic ac (olsonateam)
Does the compressor cycle on and off? Is the dash control on recirculate when u have the a/c turned on? Feel the a/c lines in front of the car, are they warm or cold? Does the a/c fan turn on also?

Re: 99 civic ac (97civicdx)
The compressor does cycle(the rpm will jump when it kicks on, right?), I have tried the circulating dash button on and off and it doesn't make a difference, The high and low pressure hoses on the front are both warm, and the a/c fan does not seem to be coming on. Any help? Thanks.
