99-00 tranny problems
okay so i have a tranny that wont go into gear, unless the car is off. It also moves when i let off the clutch and no gas is given. It also wont let me out of gear once it is in gear. one of many problems. it makes a funny rumbling noise when i turn the car. any ideas on what to do??

sounds like you clutch is not completely dis-engaging. check clutch fluid first, or shift linkage might be screwed up.
it would be good to know what car you are talking about.

Typically when the car is hard to go in gear i would first recommend checking your clutch reservoir.. Make sure it is full..
It could also be a sign of a bad/leaking clutch master cylinder.
If not.. Top it off, try bleeding it using the 8mm nut on the slave cylinder..
Also crawl under your dash and up where the clutch pedal is.. and check to see if you see any fluid leaking or wet/dampness.. If so it's time to replace the clutch master cylinder..
If all of this checks out okay.. I would lean more towards a failing clutch disk/pressure plate.
