for all you 99-00 Si owners, please post your top speed, im real curious as to why i am topping out at 154'ish MPH(needle straight down)

maybe a modified ECU? i had a 2000 Si before this one and it topped at about 126'ish??

and for all you flamers, or all you people who think im lying ide be more then glad to take a pic or even a vid of me doing this.

(but it would ahve to be at night)

well when i was stock...i got the needle past the last line..but im pretty sure once your needle gets up there...its pretty inaccurate

On another note before this is banned, If your ECU is chipped done you top out when you just redline 5th gear?

top speed on the OBDI p30's was 158mph (obviously there will be some dwell in a stock speedo) so I'd assume the newer B16's are the same.

I agree with you, but don't do it just to prove to these guys.

I friggin play with ECU's all day long, I know what they can/can't do stock and they CAN do 158 (most other hondas are 115-125.. just depends on the rom). Can the CAR do 158? Well **** I had my old 180k 90 LS up to an indicated 140 once....

well when my **** was turbo i had it up to 150 but had to slow down to clean my *******..... . Dont be going that fast man....its just dumb and your gonna either lose your license or your life. Im telling you after i did it once i havent and wont do it again. I know your not lying about the speed though. Late

did you buy the car like this with the ecu in it? what's the history here? buy it from a previous tuner?

i once hit ~160-163 in my buddy's new M3. felt like butta. i thought we were only going ~120mph until i looked at the speedometer. you should have seen my face.

my friend's si toped out at 135 it was almost like the motor just couldnt push it any farther...but what do you really need to go faster than that for?

If you weren't just a kid you would realize that being able to see in front of you is only one of many variables that may kill you. Have you ever thought about having a blowout going 158 mph? Do you really think your driving experience could get you out of that one? You may be an excellent driver for your age, but I know you aren't prepared for that. Be smart when you are behind the wheel.

first of all, you shouldn't be able to drive when your 16.

especially if you are driving at 155mph.

furthermore not many tires are safe at 155mph.

16 year old KIDS should NOT have SI's.

but to the answer to your question, civics shut down at about 125mph.



and btw, NEVER drive like that around me!!! i'll catch up and beat your ***
