Default 99-00 SI rear sway bar installed in 96 EX

we have been robbed!!!

all civics should have these! even though it's hella small diameter, it really tightens up the back. it barely cleared my greddy exhaust though.

took all of 20min to install by myself....I give this mod out of 5....I recommend it to everyone!

I'll get some pics tomarrow

Yeah, we all got shafted on that one. If you like the SI, you will love the Type R bar...

That's what my face looked like right after i installed mine...

Yeah, you would probably run into exhaust clearance problems with the ITR, if the SI just squeezed in there...

well actually the bar seems to fit ok...it's the bracket that holds the bar that bangs on the exhaust

Same deal with mine. Every now and then when the pipe gets jousteled around it will bang on the endlink...

I did that mod as well...definitly noticed an improvement.

Too bad the bar was a little bent, and the end link made lots of noise when I hit bumps. If I get another swaybar in back it is going to be something bigger by ST i think.

it's soo small LOL, but it does make a pretty big differance over not having one at all.

so it fits perfectly with no mods on a 96 civic EX? I really want to know because I'll go buy one. I was about to get the skunk2 sway bars. Let me know. Thanks.

yeah it's a complete bolt in w/ no modification, just make sure you get all nuts, bolts, and brackets.

i believe you have to buy the beaks kit for EK just to be on the safe side. total project for me was about $150 (all hardware). depends on how tight you want you back end to be...

yeah the back is already tight, I don't think I'd want to go over 18mm on this car...22mm seems like serious overkill.

I did the same mod this past weekend. Quick and easy suspension upgrade
started a thread about it but died quickly.

Mr. S: what kind of rear tie bar do you have?

The ITR won't fit perfectly? How much does the SI and the ITR bars go for?

I wouldn't go with the ITR rear bar unless you had the Si fron sway.

You'd probably have way too much over steer without something up front.

The Si front and ITR rear sway is the best combo known to man. Oh man, serious fun

Problem is you can't run a 99-00 Si front sway bar unless you have the Si A arms and such....

eh, not that big of a problem, just a little bit more work. Very worth it, indeed

The ITR front sway won't work on a 6th gen civic (to my knowledge). It's a bolt on affair in a 92-95 civic. Well, that is if you have all the junk that goes with it. What that is, I have no clue. I've never put an ITR front sway on a 5th gen
