hi HT i have a 96 civic and i'm trying to buy a mesh grill, i found one online that says it's for the 99-00 civic and i was wondering if it would fit my car.

thanks Igaly! i knew it fit, ahaha i just wanted to make sure. i'll order it tomorrow when i have money. do you know where i can find a legit jdm one? i don't wanna buy a cheap *** ebay one and not be satisfied.

Wrong, it will NOT fit. 96-98 grills are smaller than the 99-00's

you can get a legit one from jdmland, but they go for about 200 bucks

so then in order for it to fit, you have to have the WHOLE 99-00 front clip such as hood fenders, and front bumper?

the front end is different from ej's to ek. i have a 96 and hit a deer so i did the swap to 99-00 front end. u need fenders hood grille and headlights.

You can make it yourself, it won't look authentic but definitely a lot better than some of the knock off crap and fit 100x better.

another option is to get the CTR grill from 96-98.

this is the best way.

The one piece aftermarket grilles are ok, but the problem is painting it. its hard to get a good masking job on the mesh part so its easy to tell its only one piece.

you better order a 96-98 unless you are ready to spend the cash to do a frontend swap they are way different nothing will work from a 99-00 to a 96-98 and when you do the swap unless you change core supports you have to cut the brackets at the top of the bumper by the grille down to fit then drill new holes to get the screws in it

ahh thanks guys! i'll probably get the ctr grill because the grill i bought the car with was just plain ugly. it looked like a friggin pug nose. haha
