UPDATE: Everything went smooth today. The write up will be on the bottom for those who need it.


Well I did a search, researched a bit. I have the parts--bumper,grill,lip,fenders,headlights. I also read that for it to fit you have to cut out a triangle piece around its edging. Going on my '98 Hatch. sorry for not saying what car.

BUT, i also heard from another person that you need to cut the 99-00 headlight brackets shorter for it to fit? is this correct? if so, what do you need to cut it with. Also, Someone said you need to drill holes in the rad support.

Can someone write up a clear summary on what is needed to be done for this to work out. I want to get all the parts and tools before i do it.

mayb because you dont say what car your putting it onto DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH......... but i have seen a SI front end on hella del slows and that look hella tite but on EG's hella ugly

to answer your question i believe you have to cut half of your old fender from the door side and weld the other front half together and get the 96-2000 front radiator support

well my friends and i worked on the front end today. in conclusion, it did not go on perfectly. here are the pics.

looks pretty good here from far away


small gap on between the hood and driver side headlight.

what went wrong? also, the passenger side fender does not fit perfectly, but the driver side does. can it be that my passenger side fender is a bit bent or some sort? am i supposed to be cutting anything? tips needed!

And by the way, there is that gap because you didn't use the 99-00 Radiator support. Do it once, do it right

wow, that picture sucks.

this is what that picture is taken of:


to the right of the hole i had to take 1 inch by 1 inch peice of the bumper off on both sides to make it fit better.

You dont need the 99 rad support, that just makes the process a LOT harder.
you need fenders, lights, hood, bumper, and grille from a 99 and for the bumper fitment, you need to put the bumper all the way up (close to the hood) on the right side , then drill hole, and then do the same for the left side, that way the gap will be equal if there is any.

the bumper fit on perfectly on mine, the only thing i had a problem with was the hood.

So today is the 2nd day on the job. After reading the thread from blackhatchy and making a few calls. Everything went as plan. Here are the pics of the process:

This was the problem. We had to cut out a chunk of it off.


Then we dremeled a hole in that piece. Put your bumper over it first and use a marker/white out and color the hole so you know how big to drill.


Heres my friend James dremeling it.


While working on it, This just came in the mail. Woo hoo!


Here is the pic with the bumper on top of that hole we drilled. Perfect fit!
