so i picked up the climate control off a 2000 for 5 bucks, all i have is the climate controls and the short 6" cable that hooks into the rear of the climate control.

I have a 96 civic. Now i dont care about the temperature control, only about the fan speed. Do I still need the heater adn blower off the 2000?

the only thing im concerned of is getting the blower to work, my temp is always set on hot, i dont have AC, so can i wire in the 2000 harness into my 96, just to get the controls? again not worried about the temp, only the fan speed, i really dont have enough cash and time to run out and get the 2000 blower and heatercore. is there a diagram on what colors to splice? thanks!!!

oh and i already read the how to, however just wanna see if i can skip the whole blower and heatercore part, since all i need is the fan to blow.

already read that thread like 5 times, however i dont care about the manual to auto temp conversion, i just want to use the dial for my heater box, to adjust the FAN SPEED on the 99+ console

so ive read about a blower motor resistor? is this so the 99-00 harness can plug right into a 96 blower motor? again i have heat, thats all i need, but im looking to adjust the fan speeds, thats all, so im not gonna mess with getting the 99-00 heatercore, just wanna see if i can jerry rig the 99 harness into the 96 blower motor, but i hear that the 96 civic uses a resistor, and the 99-00 uses a relay or something like that?

I know SOMEBODY has done this without haveing to get the heatercore and blower from a 99-00
