99-00 Civic SI AEM Short Ram Intake Question
Hello Honda-Tech Forum!
First post, so please don't get upset if I sound stupid or car-illiterate because I may be a little of both. So the intake that came with my SI (CF Password JDM) when I purchased it was stolen among many other things. Which led me to buy this AEM Short Ram Intake that has this mysterious hole which I can't figure out what its use it for (insert pun). The AEM instructions it came with was very vague, and did not mention much about the product at all. The manual said to drain about a gallon of coolant before changing the Intake. Some people have even suggested they were on crack when writing the instructions manual, so I thought I'd refer to you guys for more clarity in successful installment.
It's the hole on the left on the picture below:
I've searched for a bit, and the closest answer I could get is that it's for a sensor of some type. If anyone has any clue or answer as to what it's for, please let me know! And a link as to where I could buy one wouldn't hurt!
Thanks!

That looks like the plug for it on the right hand side of the picture. Black plug. Green and red wires. I think?

I believe this is a link for all of them. Pick yours.

ok.. heres the deal.. i also own an si and i have an aem intake to except mines gray..heres wat you got to look for.. you c the wire that you plug into the intake on the right should have an extra plug that plugs into the one on the left. without pluging the one of those sensors on that plug will make your check engine light jump on..if you need more info message me private and i will let you know another way.

Re: 99-00 Civic SI AEM Short Ram Intake Question
Thanks everyone for all the replies. I've taken another look at the engine and all I could find was this plug:
I'm pretty sure that's where the intake air temperature sensor goes, if i'm correct? I've tried to check out the site that EGgmannate81 posted, but the site seems to get stuck and only display one item. But i've looked around for an alternative, and found this http://www.autopartsdeal.com/catalog...1999+civic+IAT
Can anyone confirm this is the correct item? If so, I'll be one step closer to recovering my hoodless and trunkless EM1, and Ref ticket out of my hands.
