2000 Civic SE with manual regulators.

Regulators got tight, broke plastic cranks.

Replaced cranks with 25$ pair of ebay specials, those broke in less than a week. Replaced both from regulators with junk yard specials.
Drivers side is brand new aftermarket, and passenger side is used but in great condition OEM.

Would like to put something that is NOT plastic on for the crank. Found ebay special Billet Aluminum Universal window cranks for 25$ free shipping. According to the ebay compatibility thing these do not fit my girls 2000 civic se sedan.

I found this odd, since I heard that all civic/crx/pintos from 88-00 use interchangeable window crank handles.

According to Egay, the Universal Aluminum handles mentioned above will fit various other years of civic including 95-98. SO WHY NOT 99-00?


Any ideas? Or am i stuck with overpriced plastic POS handles?

I don't have an answer to your question, but you may want to spray some silicone lubricant into the rubber side channels so that the window glass glides more smoothly up and down. If it's still difficult to roll the windows up and down, try aligning the regulator and window glass.

Thanks for your input. I guess I will either have to fab up some aluminum fittings/handles or just deal with the plastic garbage. I will be lubing up the windows before I put the new handles on.

If youre breaking the handles trying to roll the window up youve got other problems, Bent regulator and or window guides, Plus im willing to bet the window seals are dryer than 90 year old Pu**y.

regulators were replaced, just do not want to put plastic back on if there is aluminum or steel that will fit
