im going to put the OEM 99-00 civic Si amber climate control lights in. how many do i need, and what is the part number?

ive also been meaning to pick up a radio block off plate. anybody know the part number on that?

There are 2 bulbs in the climate control if it's anything like the 96-98 (I know they changed it to up and down) but somebody confirm this before he goes and buys them.

i doubt there is 2... probably like 4 or 5.

i have to light up those 3 ***** on the left of the climate control, and then the 2 buttons on the bottom (i don't have an a/c button, the dash in the pic does)

ya youll need 2 amber bulbs for the ***** , and 3 for the buttons , but you only have to so i asume theres nothing there where the a/c one is?

hey anytime man...i'm glad the mystery has finally been solved.

heres the deal:
1) 4 bulbs total in 99-00 NON Si climate control. there are 2 behind the buttons and 2 behind the *****.
2) Part number 79609S02A11 will work just fine for the 2 behind the buttons...true plug and play if you will. The 2 behind the ***** are a totally different bulb...only in NON Si civic models.
3) You have to order a total of 4 bulbs by that part number and simply swap the covers from blue to orange...be careful they are fragile...but not glued so they do come off.

i hope this helps everyone out...i REALLY annoyed the parts guys at my local dealer i'll say that much

hey guys;

i ordered the parts a long time ago, got bronchitis, so i just threw the stuff on the other day.



by the way, none of my crap was "plug and play"

i had to swap the condoms for the bulbs behind the climate control ***** like 2000CX said.

i also had to shave some plastic off of the bulbs behind the buttons, because those little bumps wouldn't slide over the circuit board. 30 seconds and an exacto knife = done.

Hey does anyone know what model years these climate control lights came with the blue condoms? Opposite to what's been trying to be achieved, i'm sick of the amber lighting and i want blue. If anybody knows (or has some blue condoms they'd be willing to sell me) it'd be greatly appreciated...also, i've got a 2000 civic si and the climate control lights are smaller than the ones pictured on this post, and i'm havin' a hard time finding a part number specific to the 2000 civic lights...anybody?

thank god. i went to honda today and the a-hole tried to tell me they dont make them for the 99-00 Si bc it comes with a cd player. i tried to explain to him i just need a 96-00 radio block off plate.

anyone else have one for sale?

Kinda OT but have you considered flipping the cage over with some mods so the deck mounts int he lower part? Did it to mine and I like how the screen sits a little lower. Is that the 1003 or 1005? I like it, want to sell my 1000 and upgrade to a widescreen.

Does any one know what i need to do to make my 96-98 civic EK have a amber climate control? i already changed my guage cluster and radio all i need is to make my climate control amber so that it can all match. thanks for the tips.
