Yep, taller gears will give you slightly slower acceleration, better fuel economy and lower rpm at speed. It will give you a higher potential top speed which is irrelevant since we don't live in Germany. GSR tranny is better for an engine that produces more torque so unless you're going boost...I'd stick with the Si tranny.

Well, there is this place in Arizona.....

If you want to use 5th from the GSR as an overdrive, you could do that. Better 5th gear economy and a higher top speed (in case you ever move to Germany and take your car with you).

Lets not forget that the 99-00 Si tranny has a 4.2 final drive and the GSR has a 4.4. So I would think they would be pretty similair. I would get the S4C tranny and throw in a GSR diff and 4.7 ITR final drive...

uh no.

the 99-00 S4C is a 4.4 final drive, same as the GSR. and the 4.785 final drive only comes on the JDM ITR S80 5 speed.

Nope. Same final drive as the LS. You should go drive a SIR B16 tranny and then drive yours.

What the hell are you talking about? Do you have any source to back up your claim? Because well, I do. Same as a US GSR transmission.

It appears that my transmission is on par or better than any JDM SiR 5 speed transmission. Which also has shorter gearing than a USDM GSR transmission.

I just hate basically being called a liar. I have a source, and I know how accurate it is. I'm not wrong on this.
