Get a shroud for the slim fan or put the OEM fan back on. Most generic slim fans don't move enough air. The shroud makes all the difference.

i have a shroud and the low temp switch kicks the fan on early.

It doesn't sound like it's working well enough.
I'm boosted with a GoAutoworks dual core half rad with slimfan/shroud combo. I don't have any issues with overheating. Are you able to get the OEM fan to fit?

It could just be a cheap rad. With an ITR swap and the higher compression it makes, it will also make a lot more heat!!!

A quality dual core rad would be a must in my opinion for driving in any warmer temps. The compression in a jdm B18C-R is 11:1

Thank you for the input! Mine is dual core I believe, what about a triple core from pwdjm? I don't know maybe mine is faulty? The worse case scenario I can think of is a blown head gasket which scares me but I don't see any signs of that, which is confusing me even more lol.

I couldn't tell you about your fan but all you're supposed to do is switch the wires around.

In the radiator that i bought. I found instructions on how to change the fan into a puller which something about switching the fan blade over the opposite side.

Will post instructions up in a bit i will be home in an hour. Hopefully it will help.

You could de-pin the rad fan motor connector and swap the pins

I realize you've fixed it by now, but a very simple method is either using smoke, or paper.
Put a sheet of paper behind the fan, depending on how it moves around determines how you're fan is operating.

Yep. Incense works well, too.

Glad you fixed it though.

I ended up using notebook paper! Next time I may just take a fat bong hit and blow it down there. That would be good, haha jk.
