Hey all, as of lately my car has been sputtering and trying to die for only approx. 60 seconds on a cold start, after the first minute the car will run fine all day, however now things have gotten worse. The problem now is that when accelerating, it hesitates and bucks. Also when im coasting in a gear and begin to slow down the jerk becomes more violent. At idle, in neutral, the rpms seem abnormally high(not sure what they are exactly, no tach.) and when i give it gas while in neutral the engine just sputters like its skipping a beat or not getting enough gas and then it will still just idle at high rpms.I've tried a few things and searched for someone with a similar problem but its only gotten worse, specs of the car are as follows:
-172 000 miles on stock d16y7
-New NGK v-power plugs, the ones recom. in the manual+duralast wires
-Full ebay exhaust from header to muffler(replacement for rotted stock till i swap)
-Just removed and cleaned throttle body and IACV with brake parts cleaner
-oil change
-Leaking trans fluid for months now, havent fixed or filled
-One missing header bolt, the hole on the cylinder head is stipped somehow so its an open hole.
-only other mod is a short shifter, other than that the car is completely stock.I bought it with only one owner and 167000mi the car was very clean and seemed to be well maintained. Since ive had it i've maintained proper fluids and never beat on it.

I should mention that it only started the sputtering and jerking after i cleaned the TB, however it did still try to die on me on cold starts before i cleaned the TB. That's all i can think of right now, so what do you guys think? anything would be helpful.LMK if more info is needed.

I had a similar problem a few months ago and it ended up being that the IACV failed. Replaced and good as new again.

I'll take it to autozone and see if any codes are being thrown and i forgot to mention the CEL isn't on and has never come one even when the car is acting up? What code was shown when you found out that your IACV failed?

It threw four codes and no CEL
