98 OEM Keyless Entry... are the lights supposed to flash or beep?

Hey ive never had a civic with keyless entry so im not sure how its supposed to work aesthetically if at all.... but I just bought a 98HX with keyless entry.. it didnt work at first but I replaced the batteries and reprogrammed the remote and now its locking and unlocking as it should..

The thing is although its locking and unlocking via remote the lights arent flashing or anything and there is no audible sound or anything... Just wondering if there is supposed to be? Or maybe a DIY that explains how to rig it to do this?

I would like it for locating the car in crowded lots https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif
thanks

im with a 96 hatch and it has keyless entry as well....and ungo alarm system (crap) the lights used to work when i unlocked the car via the remote but it doesnt do it anymore....not sure why, but my problem is similar to yours, but i do have the audible noise when it locks and unlocks...and remote starts.

my 99 flashes with the lights, once for lock and twice for unlock, and if i do lock twice in a row it will honk. it's all just aesthetics though, you can still lock and unlock your car right?

yeah i can unlock and lock it, but i wish i could get the lights to work...

Any reason the locks would work but lights wouldnt? maybe a fuse to check or wires to examine??
