98 LS into a 98 CIVIC EX Help
Hello All,
I'm a nubi in this Honda thing and I've been reading about all these different LS swaps but I can't get a clear answer. So here it is, I have a 98 civic ex and I'm looking into swapping a 98 LS motor. I just want to know exactly what I need. So far this is what I have.
98 LS motor and Tranny and shift linkage.
98 LS ECU
98 LS Engine Harness but I also have my stock EX harness and ECU
98 Integra axles and half shaft
Ok so what else do I need in order to keep my AC power steering.?
what do I need as far as mounts and Brackets?
And if I'm missing anything please let me know.

Re: 98 LS into a 98 CIVIC EX Help
The only reason you need the LS engine harness is if there are any plugs that need to be changed/converted or lengthened. You will basically use your original '98 Civic EX engine harness and modify it as needed.
In addition to the items that you have mentioned above, You will need the driver's side engine bracket (2 bolt slightly angled pad) and rear T-bracket from a '99-00 Civic Si. You will also need the transmission torque mount from either the Integra or the Civic Si. As for the A/C mount bracket, you will need one from a '94-97 Del Sol VTEC or a '97-01 CRV. Also, you can get the CRV P/S bracket and use your existing P/S pump from the Civic.
Good Luck.
