98 Hatchback rear upper strut brace advice
Hey dudes, i just recently got a 98 civic hatch. My question here is, i bought some strut braces for the front & rear and front & rear control arm braces. The install on the front/upper is a no brainer, however, the rear/upper proves to be a little more involved. Has anyone here installed the rear/upper that they can give some advice on? I know mi can just cut the panels out and hack it together but i want to know the cleanest way to do it, i would like it to look professional.
my other question is for the lower control arm braces. The bushings that are in there now i heard were only one time in and one time out, so i would need to get new ones. Is that true?
thanks again

Terms are sometimes thrown around and swapped but I assume for the upper you mean just your average everyday bar. For that I just cut a few slits in the molded carpet and it looks pretty good. As for the lowers, that is my next project so I couldn't tell you.

Well if it were the rug I could probably hack it and make it look good. The ek requires you to cut some rear plastic panels. Do you know the best way to access the strut towers and wheree to cut the plastic?

why not remove the panels and see for yourself. if its the rear upper strut you're talking about. its really not hard to remove those panels. its a few bolts/screws and pull them out.
once they're out, see what would be the best way to execute a clean cut on them.
come on people, dont be lazy.

its not a matter of being lazy. currently i have very little free time so when i do get a chance to install, its nice to not have to screw around. The rear panels go from the front doors all the way to the tail lights....the panels are massive. if there was anything i could do to avoid removing them, that would be cool. like if there were a different way to access the towers that i didnt realize. I guess ill just rip out the entire panels and prove my salt, thanks dude.
oh, anything about the control arm bushings?
