98 hatch/96 itr motor and trans swap - Install oem motor mounts or not??
I have a 98 hatch with a 96 itr motor and transe and well my motor mounts are shot.. it hits the hood and makes the car jump when shifting into second..
anyways should i just get oem 99 si mounts? or should i buy aftermaket solid mounts. now this is a dd, i get on it sometimes but no track time or anything.
will the si mounts work(as in last wih the type r)? and help would ne appreciated thanks

Re: oem motormounts r no??
Hardrace rubber mounts for a DD. However if you can deal with some vibrations Hasport and inavative sell 62A poly mounts. Soft enought to not shake bolts loose but stiff enought that engine wont move.
For a simply DD, I'd go with the Hardrace mounts.

Re: oem motormounts r no??
Had a look at my rear mount and it does go thru a body mount too.. So only that driver side that needs to be B series mount(SI).. All 4 others can be Dseries(DX).. Dont forget in Canada SI still means D series to me, SIR is the B16

I need to replace mine too, especially the rear one. Genuine Honda will probably last longer, but I'll probably just get whatever OEM equivalent is cheap on rockauto.com. Polys last forever, but they don't dampen much vibration.

I used 98 ITR mounts when I had my 94 GSR. They were very stiff, yet no vibrations at all. Before that I was running Jim fab solid mounts and it was unbearable.
