98 EK GSR having problems starting and i smell fuel....
Hey guys,
I got a buddys car over at my place cuz hes been having problems ive messed with it for awhile but ive never had these problems before so maybe ill ring a bell for some of you on here.
WHAT THE CAR IS DOING:
When i go to start the car i push in the clutch and turn the ignition to start it and it does nothing BUT if you keep turning the key and just keep pushing in and out on the clutch it will finally turn over and start.
I was thinking its the clutch switch going bad but i wana be sure before i have him go buy one.
The second problem is, when hes sitting at the car and its running there is the smell of straight gas. I looked under the hood and fuel guage is at 40ish and i dont see and broken fuel lines or hoses.
If you guys have seen this problem before please share your experience with me thanks..
