98 Civic - Possible way to override the limiter?
Hey all -
I have a relatively stupid question. Just wondering if there's a way to override the limiter on my 98' Civic? I was discussing the possibilities with a friend, and he told me that if you turn the ignition 3 or so miles before the car limits, the computer will reset and you can continue accelerating.
I thought that was a pretty stupid idea because the alternator will spark and do damage with the car going at those speeds, but it still makes me wonder whether or not it's possible to pull off something like that.
Any FAQs or other resources that might help me out? Thanks.
