98 Civic - noise coming from driver side front shock
Hey guys, I have recently noticed a sound coming from the front suspension. I have a Mini-me swap 98 CX hatch, and I found where the noise is coming from. Its coming from my driver side front shock. Basically, its loose I can grab the top of the shock and move it around. It looks like the strut mount is in good shape. I also recently got new tie rods, inner and outer, as well as new tires and alignment.
Any suggestions?

Ok, if there is an internal hex in the end of the rod you can use an allen wrench to hold it, dont try using pliers or anything. do the bushings look ok?

No internal hex. I guess I'll try something else. Not sure about bushings. I don't know much about suspension. The rubber boot around the top of the strut is rubbing away though. LOL

The nut that you tried to tighten at the end of the strut rod rests on a washer that has one of the bushings directly under it, then the mount, then another bushing and washer underneath. those could be it if you can wiggle the rod around...luckily theyre cheap if thats the problem
