98 civic lx sedan noise from the back when accelerating
Hello
I have a 98 civic lx sedan. Was sitting at a stoplight few days ago and as i put my foot on the gas pedal on green, I noticed a noise from the right rear. The noise is not too loud but sounds like ripping and possibly rumbling or possibly sounds like a motorboat (this is not my term BTW, just what i gathered during my research on the internet). It seems to happen most noticeably only when I accelerate from a stopped position.
What is causing this? Help please.

Either a hole in the exhaust pipe, or one of the pipe hangers has failed and the pipe is bumping against something metal.

Thank you for the info. How much would it approximately cost to fix this? Is a new part needed or could the hole be welded?
