shut up if you dont know what you're talking about. yes they will fit, just not in the same place as for the 99-00's... you have to mount them in the gaping hole in the middle, not IN the bumper. I have seen this done before

sorry guy,i mean thonda didn't INTEND for you to mount 99-00 fogs in the 96-98 bumper.they DON'T bolt right in.i wasn't counting an install that requires a Sawzall, duct tape and Bondo.....now,please tell me how these foglights:
fit right into this bumper:
this pic shows the OEM fogs that are supposed to be used on 96-98 civics.there are also OEM round fogs that mount in the same place.
sure, you could custom mount them-anything's possible.that's why you see all these riced out show queens with headlights and tailights from every car imaginable......but that doesn't mean they were ever intended to be in that car,or that it doesn't look stupid.
99-00 Si fogs DO NOT mount in the 96-98 bumper, thanks for playing

what if i switch the 98 front bumper for the 00 front bumper? will the 2000 bumper clear around the 98 headlights? i dont think so because the 98 lights look shorter and a bit fatter than the 00 headlights..

Nope, their 99-00 fogs. Who said anything about a bezel?
His question was simply: "can you mount 99-00 fogs on a 96-98 bumper"...
thanks for playing

so,whats the difference in them and the 96-98 OEM fogs?it accomplished the same thing.when he simply says "can you mount 99-00 fogs on a 96-98 bumper" i assume he means the whole thing, not just the universal light fixture.you can go to wal-mart and buy a round fog light that looks just like them.
if he says "will 92-95 civic fogs fit in my 96-98 bumper?",what would you say?wouldn't you assume he means the whole thing?

"There were actually two different styles...A round style, and the square style. Also, the square style were available with an "ion" coating. Good luck finding them. I had a set back in '96 that I never installed, I have no idea where they went. " from this thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=197875

haha...right on mang..... sorry,i didn't know he meant spending more to buy parts for the wrong year car, just to only use half of them to accomplish the same thing he could have by buying the right kit...that make sense?he "straight up" asked if they will fit.the "straight up" answer is "no".
if somebody asks "does the DC interior fit in an EG?" what would you answer?a simple "yes" ,even though the dash and door panels don't fit without some custom work.or,a simple "yes" and assume he only meant the seats which bolt right in,no mods?.....my point is that he simply asked will they fit-he didn't ask if only part of the 99-00 foglight kit would fit, giving the same final product as the kit MEANT for his car.i assumed(sorry)that he also meant the bezels, since that is the visual difference in the two,and after all,is part of the 99-00 kit.i assumed(sorry)that since the bezel is the main visual difference, that is the reason he wanted to use these-to utilize the bezels so that he obviously has 99-00 foglights in his car-not foglights that look jst like the foglights intended for his car.
we both ASSumed.
sorry,happy new year

the 96-98 round fogs are frosted (i.e. like eg's headlights)
the 99-00 fogs (minus the bezel) are not frosted (i.e. 99 up civic headlights)
some people dont like the "frosted" look of teh 96-98 round fogs and put the 99-00 round fogs minus the bezel in the 96-98 fogs place. Nuff said.
