Default 98 Civic flexplate bolts hitting on tin dust shield...??

I just swapped motors in my civic. It is a 98 EX with automatic transmission. I put a motor from a 2000 civic ex in it. The '00 motor was originally in an ex with a manual trans. Everything seems to work fine but the bolts on the flex plate that bolt through the back of it to hold on the torque converter seem to be hitting the tin dust shield. Has anyone ever had this same problem??

yes this tends to happen when the shield is bent u could rebend it out some and see if that works or remove the cover it will not hurt or damage anything without it.

Thanks. I think I will just remove it.

Did you run into any issues during the swap? regarding the FIACV assembly on the 2000 motor?

You can just remove it. Thats what my homies say down in the hood. Whenever they hear something rattle they just take it off foshizzle.
