98 civic EX problems please HELP anything, going crazzy!!!!
Recently I changed a head on my 98 Civic CX, I put 98 Civic EX head on it with Intake manifold. (before that it used to have 92-95 EX head with 98 civic EX 5spd Intake Manifold and 92-95EX rewired distributor to OBD2, with DC sports headers only 1 O2 sensor. With this setup car was running fine except for some boggling around 2-3k RPM’s and when I crank up the car all lights on the car start flashing for like 10-20sec and it goes back to normal, it was driving fine) So I’m thinking these two problems are because of missing 2nd O2 sensor and rewired 92-95 EX Distributor to OBD2. Finally I bought the 98 Head with 98 EX ECU and got stock CX headers with both O2 sensor. Replaced everything and now the car is throwing three codes. 1 P1298 Air/Fuel Metering Sensor, 2-3 and O2 sensors both of them. Car doesn’t ide right and also it’s as soon as u press the gas it starts to boggle and when u let it go it drops almost to 0k RPM, when u drive it, it hardly goes over 30 and it take a long time to get up there and sometimes it even shut off.
I’m thinking it’s not O2 sensors because if they are bad car goes to default, I’m thinking it’s that Air/Fuel metering Sensor that causing all this anyone know what that is…
By the code that I lokked up online P1298 Electric Load Detector (ELD) Circuit High Voltage
Any ideas, what could it be….
Thank you.
