98 Civic HX...need shock upgrade?
I've got a 98 Civic HX. It's completely stock. I bought it specifically because it gets great gas mileage. I'm not looking for high performance but my shocks are kinda' spongy at 99,000 miles. I'm thinking about replacing them with Tokico HP's (blues). Should I keep the OEM springs? If the springs are on they're last legs, what could I replace them with? I really don't want to lower the car with lowering springs, but if I were to lower them what is the most I could lower them without noticing much of a difference in a 'stock' ride? In other words, I don't want to worry about scraping or bottoming out on potholes.
Thanks!

do oem springs with 99,000 miles on them, typically still have much life?

it takes alot to wear springs out. im sure there fine. save the money that you would spend on springs and save it for gas lol.
it will ride a ton better with new struts so just do that.
