98 civic b16 powersteering. p72 pump what bracket?
I have a 98 civic with a b16a2. Went to put power steering back in and ended up with a p72 pump which is whats always been on it.
My brackets I had lost, so I ended up getting p30 brackets.
Everything bolts up but the pump is too far over (not lined up center with belt) it it is causing the pulley to wobble.. im pretty sure its the brackets. Any advice??

You should really have the brackets and the pump from the same engine you have. If the brackets aren't, that's prolly the problem as I remember reading that the b16 pump and d series pumps are interchangeable, but maybe that was AC.. It could be the pump too, you should try searching for something along the lines of "b swap civic, what power steering pump?".
if the pumps switch without a hitch, it is infact the brackets

Thats the thing. Im reading so many different things. Most people say you need a si or gsr pump and the brakets to match your head.. im using p72 pump on p30 brackets.. what is the stock si pump part number? Pr3?

really you should be using the pump and brackets from the b16a2. Those will certainly sit properly, and function properly with your engine. The only concern you should have with doing that, is if your power steering rack is compatible with your pump's set up. IV read that that certain trim levels and Integra vs civic vs other cars have a different number of power steering hoses.

If the steering rack is operated different from del sol to whatever car you have, ie different number or hoses, you are stuck with the pump you're using. I dont know which brackets to use for a set up like that.
sorry if I didn't help you, but that's all I know. Maybe power steering in a swapped car is covered in the FAQ? I know this is a problem that lots of people have.

Everything is hooked up fine and works. Just the pulleys dont line up causing a wobble..
Even on the faq of powersteering in ek, so many people are puttin diff answers..
Im going to search for the a2 brackets and see what happens

Possibly looks like I can grind it down a little to bring it more centered. I havnt tried yet cuz im on the hunt for the right bracket. The p30 bracket works, just pulley wobbles. I know its not the pump.
