So my girlfriend has a 98 auto civic, a couple days ago she was driving and the speedo would go to 120-140mph but were only doing 35mph.
Then cel pop up. So I check the code and just throughs solid with no flshes.
First thought that came to me was vss. But tried 4 and same issue.
Went for a drive last night and same problem but now the lights all surge, cd deck turns off and tach surges.
I also checked all the grounds, all seem to be good.

Cel won't flash. And it's not possible that I didn't jump the wires right cause I got frustrated and cut the plug off and attached the wires.

Anybody ever had this problem before?

Next step is obd2 code reader.
