you will need a 99-00 trunk and 99-00 taillights. I had a friend who did this and he had to change some of the wiring for the taillights to work properly.

I dont think that will do. i havnt seen a si in Pakistan. so dont know its exact dimensions and all but the thing that bothers me is that its not only the trunk that has to be changed its the side rear fenders as well. cuz si is a bit sleek.

wiring aint an issue but the shape is for me. can u post some of his finished work please. or u can email me at
shehroze121@hotmail.com.

If you are referring to the pic that you quoted, the 96-98 and 99-00 rear side fender is the exact same.

From what i have observed the rear trunk and fender of 1998 is a bit curved towards ouside. where as for the si its totally straight. how can i get that done. plus i would also be needing a few advises if i can get my current 4 door converted to two door shaped one without much hassle.

And lastly the front i think for the si is slightly a bit pointier. kindly correct me if i am wrong. how can i get that effect.

Some cutting, welding and paint.

It's not an "effect".

Not gonna happen. Especially since this isn't what this thread was meant for. If you have to ask, you can't do it.

The picture of the red civic you keep posting is NOT a 99-00 SI rear end. That's an aftermarket bumper.

I'm no expert but I think for the cost of what you are proposing you could almost buy a 96-00 coupe and have the "look" you want w/o cutting, welding, etc....maybe no?

That is a 99-00 Civic SI rear end, not the kitted out thing you've been posting. While you're not searching and reading, go ahead and read this thread. NOFX has put a LOT of time and effort into helping everyone on H-T know and understand the differences in all of the 6th gen chassis'. NOFX also manages to cover ALL of the differences with the trunk, rear bumper, and tail lights.

Seriously though, all of your questions are answered in NOFX's thread that I linked above. Read, learn, and go do it.

The thing is that in his thread he has mentioned the differences between the same sub categories like difference between a 1996 sedan and a 2000 sedan and the differences between a 1998 si and 2000 si..

But i failed to find the difference i am looking for. Maybe its my fault i cant find it. but can u please direct me where he has specified the differences i am looking for.

And if not then kindly tell me whom should i contact here, who is an expert in such body work?

You would have to get rear quarters from a coupe, and cut your rear quarter panels and weld them together, since the coupe trunk flares out and the sedan trunk flares in. Then Im not sure if a coupe trunk lid would fit a sedan. You may have to cut up a coupe lid and a sedan lid and weld them together. All I know is that is a shitload of time and money for something really only you are going to appreciate.

I already told you early on in the thread that you cannot short of cutting and welding and even then you probably will fail. There are no bolt on/off parts that can get you this result.

If you wanted a coupe's *** on your car then you should have bought a coupe.

You have a sedan and want a coupe styled rear end. Not going to happen unless you pour ridiculous amounts of time or money into this in addition to sourcing a 99-00 Civic to hack up.

Live with it the way it is or sell what you have and buy a coupe.

To tell you the truth, the only thing that share between a 6G sedan and 6G Coupe is from the tip of grille until the firewall. The rest of the chasis are totally different, even Coupe and Sedan have different wind shield.

I haven't read through this thread, but for the rear end, you do have two decent options....

do an EL conversion like i did

Another

or, just use EL outer tail lights to match up the clear sections

The OP wants to convert his Sedan to a Coupe because Coupe is not available at where he lives.
