Recently acquired a 97CX hatch which has a D16Z6 motor in it. It was a repo and I don't know why the motor was put in.....for the VTECH maybe? It is running using the CX ECU(OBD2) but it doesn't run right. I have an ECU from a 93 Si hatch but need to find a way to adapt the OBD1 ECU to the OBD2 wiring. By the way, the wiring harness at the ECU plugs is pretty butchered, so I'm thinking the SKUNK plug and play adapter is not going to work, especially for the money it costs. I am willing to rewire the existing harness using OBD1 plugs if need be, but the plugs seem to be hard to find.

Please advise, as this needs to be my daily driver until I can afford an H22 swap, Yeehaw!

you need a jumper harness to go from obd2 to obd1
its a bitch to make a jumper or expensive to have one made for you good luck

The wiring harness in the car is pretty butchered....it has been spliced in multiple places, so there is no guaranty that the harness is wired correctly. I don't want to spend $200+ for a plug in adapter only to find that it still doesn't work.
I am experienced at electronic wiring and, given the color codes, can do the wiring myself. I guess I'm in need of color coded wiring diagrams for both versions and a set of OBD1 plugs

Anyone have plugs available?
And a web site to wiring diagrams for both OBD1 and OBD2?
