97 Stock DX has very numb steering.

Car drives strait, Alignment is good, brand new tires (14" 175 ) skinny all seasons, tie rods, ball joints are all good.

Would a nice set of 15" wheels with tires completely change the feel of this car?

I think it depends on how wide they are. I have 14" stock steelies and 16x7.5" rotas with the exact same tires (yokohama avid H4s) on them and the car seems a LOT more twitchy on the 7.5" wide wheels. Also has a lot more bump steer too though :(

Yes wider high performance tires with a lower profile will increase steering response and grip. Go with a lightweight wheel, less than 15lbs or so. The downside to wider tires is your car will be more easily upset by irregularities in the road. But the increased grip is well worth it. 15's are great because they are usually light, and tires are cheap in that size.

Check your tire pressure, very low tires will be harder to turn even with powersteering, versus properly inflated tires. Make also be time to check the rack and pinion and make sure its greased up. I had to do this for my del sol, powersteering was a total joke til I flushed it and greased the joints. Could also be a belt issue

Assuming you have power steering, BTW

Im going to track down a set of oem honda 15's and throw some decent tires on. I cant roll around on 14"'s i feel like im driving on a cloud. Not good when your other car is a s2000 , like night and day.
